About the opportunity When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re helping our clients protect our world’s natural resources. Jacob’s ecology team is one of the UK’s largest most dynamic and respected ecology teams. We have experts in almost every ecological field. The size and experience of our team allows us to work with some of the most respected organisations in the UK. You’ll support some of the largest, complex projects in the UK. You’ll be surrounded by opportunities for technical as well as career mentoring to ensure your continued professional development. Based in Birmingham you’ll have the opportunity to conduct both field and office work as well as deliver technical writing. Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • A degree in a relevant science or a closely related field.
  • CIEEM membership.
  • An experienced ecology surveyor and a good field scientist.
  • Surveying and work experience in the UK regulatory framework including protected species licensing.
  • Experienced in running small projects.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Able to produce quality assured ecology deliverables.
  • Nature Scot or Natural England Bat Licence
  • Current and full driving licence
