Education & Student Support – Supporting University of Exeter Business School


This part-time post is available from immediately on a fixed term basis for one year. The post is allocated against a fixed funding envelope, determining the FTE nature of the post which can be discussed at interview.

About the role:

This brand new role will provide specialist advice and coordinate the development and delivery of fully online programmes for the University of Exeter Business School. The post holder will work alongside the Associate Dean (Education), the Education Business partner, and the Director of Digital Learning to ensure the School meets its development schedule, and that the learning materials and associated programme infrastructure is presented in a highly polished and technically adept manner.

The post holder will also provide those developing content with expert digital assistance in the production of video material, and assist in ensuring colleagues build their own skills in the production of digital materials for use in online learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the project management of the design and build of online materials for the currently planned UEBS fully online programmes, and any that are set in plan during the year.
  • Provide specialist assistance in the planning, recording, and editing of video content for the online programmes.
  • Manage the operations of online project by being the central point of contact for expertise on digital production for external and internal enquiries. Using own initiative to deal with queries (both verbal and written) without guidance, prioritising actions arising, disseminating and reporting information to relevant group members.

    About You:

    Experience of working in digital media, video editing and film production is essential, as well as good working knowledge of online and distance learning education. Candidates must have the ability to interact across multidisciplinary teams, experience of influencing senior stakeholders, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and timescales.
