Working for Hampshire Legal Services (HLS) as part of the Highways Litigation and Insurance team you will provide support in relation to the case management data recorded from the claims for compensation made against Hampshire County Council.
Hampshire County Council is self-insured for third party claims and handles insurance claims in-house (rather than sending to external insurers). As a result, a high volume of claims are received each year and allocated across the lawyers working in the two litigation teams within HLS.
This is a busy working environment and this role is very process driven. The ideal candidate will have the highest level of attention to detail, be efficient, use initiative, manage their own workload and work under pressure. Every claim received requires inputting into our insurance case management system and the data updated. The data is both personal data and financial data, the latter being essential for reporting to both our commercial insurers and our internal finance department.
The data being handled is often of a sensitive nature and confidentiality is of paramount importance.
Ideally the candidate will have proven data inputting experience and a desire to understand the wider picture in which this data sits. Experience of running reports from data is also desirable.
