Hampshire County Council is recruiting a Project Officer within the Countryside Service to cover maternity leave. Joining the Countryside Project Team you will develop, coordinate and deliver a programme of works – mainly on Hampshire’s Public Rights of Way network and our open spaces.
You will be expected to continue to build on our partnership with New Forest District Council by delivering projects on their behalf as part of their Mitigation Strategy. As the post will require county-wide travel, you will be able to fulfil the travel requirements of this role.
To develop, coordinate and support a programme of projects on public rights of way, areas of open country and other forms of public access to the countryside on behalf of New Forest District Council.
These activities will be developed and promoted to a high standard in accordance with New Forest District Council’s Mitigation Strategy.

Whilst this role is office based (River Hamble Country Park) you will be expected to attend external meetings at other locations. All Hampshire County Council Staff are following current government guidelines around homeworking where possible. It is intended that when it is safe to do so, we will return to a blend of office and homeworking in the future.
