We are looking for a Content and Learning Specialist to join our highly successful Modern Foreign Languages team (with some flexibility to work in our English team). Typical tasks that this role will involve include:
development of educational content to support teaching and learning
deployment of that content into digital services or into the print publishing process
creation of content workflows to ensure on time and to budget delivery of accurate content
use of content creation tools for digital content to make corrections, changes and manage any discrepancies as they arise
management of internal content creation processes for digital products
ensuring quality is maintained at various steps through content production
overseeing print content through manuscript and proof stages
working with cross-functional teams including Rights and Permissions, Design, Media and Technology
general service management responsibilities such as making changes, answering customer queries, gathering feedback and evidence from our customers
building marketing knowledge and insights
author management, commissioning and feedback
managing reprint corrections to print and digital products
This role can be based in either our Oxford or London office with opportunities for hybrid working (mixture of home and office-based). Pearson is an equal opportunities employer. Our Successful Candidate
Experience in publishing is desirable but not essential – you may have just finished your education or you may have experience in a related industry (e.g. education or technology).
You’ll have the following skills and qualities:
A-level, degree level or native speaker Spanish or German and ideally a second language (also to A-level, degree level or native speaker) from French, Spanish or German
A passion for languages and knowledge of or desire to learn about languages teaching in secondary schools
Passionate about education and helping people make progress in their lives through learning
A keen interest in and aptitude for technology, including using digital tools, interpreting data and devising technology-led solutions
Good team-working and relationship-building skills
Willing to take the lead and work independently when necessary
Full of creativity and ideas with customer empathy
Passionate about finding ways to improve experiences for our customers
Good organisational, problem solving and project management skills
A keen eye for detail
