A unique opportunity has arisen within our Veterans Mental Health Services; working with both the Complex Treatment Service and newly implemented High Intensity Service – both operating across the North of England. This is a regional role and will include working across our 3 hubs and utilising remote working. This post is a Consultant level post but may be offered as an 8b (with development plan) to progress to 8c.You will join LYPFT’s Clinical Team of the Year (CTS), an innovative multi-disciplinary team delivering a regional community service to veterans with complex mental health needs, working alongside Combat Stress; our partner organisation.The High Intensity Service commenced in November and you will have a key role in supporting the team who deliver clinical and wider social interventions for veterans experiencing a mental health crisis and/or inpatient admission. The HIS is delivered in partnership with CNTW, Walking with the Wounded and Combat Stress.Within CTS you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality, effective psychological therapies and for maximising the therapeutic capacity of this specialist, regional team. In HIS you will provide support to enable formulation and complex case management, and enhance veteran awareness across other services. Working closely with the Clinical Lead, you will take a lead on research and evaluation and contribute to service development, supporting the teams to deliver excellence to meet the unique needs of the veteran population.This role involves travel across a large geographical region as part of your responsibility to implement a coherent and containing clinical model and enable a team identity. We view the regional aspect of this role as an opportunity to enhance and broaden your professional development, through an outward facing and responsive service in different communities and to learn and share psychology practice and establish robust networks.
