When people have had a major setback in life, it’s our Community Reablement Assistants at Hampshire County Council who support them to regain their independence and regain control of their life.

After a hospital admission, service users may have lost their confidence or are unable to complete daily tasks as before. Perhaps they’ve had an operation or are recovering from a fall. Whatever their age, background or circumstance, our Reablement Service is designed to help service users regain the ability, independence and confidence to do some or all the things they used to do in a safe and realistic way.

The Reablement Team provide a full an in-depth supportive induction programme along with continuous training and development. There are opportunities for quick progression and fantastic prospects for career development. Some of our past Community Reablement Assistants have even gone on to becoming Occupational Therapists, Specialist Sensory Workers and Registered Managers. 

It’s important to be able to travel between service users, but we can support you whilst you are working towards meeting the travel requirements, there is an opportunity for a car loan once you have joined us.

The Reablement Service and Community Reablement Assistants work over a 7 days a week, You will be required to work evenings and/or public holidays and/or weekends as part of your Normal Working Hours..You will be required to work a shift pattern as part of your role, details of this will be confirmed by your line manager. 

Full COVID-19 vaccination status will be required as a condition of employment.

Recent legislation now mandates that anyone working in a CQC registered care home, which includes all regulated services

in HCC Care, and those visiting in a professional capacity, must be fully vaccinated (MHRA approved) by 11 November 2021.

Job Purpose:

South Hub – Fareham covering Gosport, Havant, Petersfield, Horndean, Emsworth, Hayling Island, Porchester, Salisbury Green.
West Hub – Totton covering New Forest, North Baddesley, Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford
North Hub – Basingstoke covering Alton, Aldershot, Liphook, Whitchurch, Bordon, Farnborough – No vacancies at present
Mid Hants Hub – Winchester covering Bishops Waltham, Andover, Romsey, Hedge End, West End – No Vacancies at present
