Commercial Analyst

Up to £34,000 plus benefits and 25 days annual leave

In order to support our strategy for growth and to win good business it is vital that we are able to provide dedicated, high quality financial modelling and commercial bid resource across all our business units. That’s why we’re looking for a Commercial Analyst to sit within our UK&E Commercial Team to produce the complex financial modelling our Business Unit leaders need.

In this role you’ll work closely with Senior Commercial colleagues and liaise across multiple functions including finance, business development, operations and legal as well as our Bid teams to develop and populate cost models that allows optimal pricing to be determined. This will include tasks such as:

  • Working with colleagues on scenario testing and risk analysis.
  • The building of robust financial models to reflect pricing mechanisms, contractual requirements and technical solutions
  • Cost collection, analysis and challenge (including understanding the relevant technical requirements)
  • Providing input into the building of financial business case and ensure that businesses commercial best practice is adhered to.
  • This is a great project-based opportunity to work in a diverse and complex organisation within a highly commercial role and gain a broad range of experience within a bidding environment – and as part of the role you will be funded towards gaining a CIMA qualification.

    What you need to do the job  

    To be successful you will naturally be able to think analytically, with a proactive mindset. You will be a strong communicator and a good team player with a professional demeanour.

    You will have strong academic results in a numeral based degree e.g. Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Physics. You will demonstrate a willingness and aptitude to learn at a rapid rate and be able to organise and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines.

    You will have the ability to develop a sound knowledge of excel and financial modelling best practice and a commitment to gaining a CIMA qualification.
