    Looking for a new opportunity to lead a service in Stroke and Rehabilitation alongside our Physiotherapist Advanced Clinical Specialist?

    Look no further, we have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist in stroke and rehabilitation to join our friendly team in Bridlington Hospital.

    You will be joining a community focused hospital in the midst of some exciting changes and developments within the trust, with the added bonus of Bridlington being a fantastic place to work and live.

We are a supportive team with opportunities to work with advanced clinical specialist colleagues from York and Scarborough regularly, and also the professional leadership team.

    Main duties of the job

    The post will be based on Johnson Ward in Bridlington Hospital, with a self-motivated and aspirational MDT. We are looking for an experienced clinician, with dynamic leadership skills who has an aspiration for excellence to develop the stroke and rehabilitation services further. You will need to be an excellent communicator with a flexible approach, and an eagerness to establish links with community partners and neighbouring hospitals, and have a passion for ‘trusted assessor’ principles, will be at an advantage when working on this ward.

    An excellent knowledge of the SAFER principles will be beneficial. SAFER Principles underpins the Trusts ethos to ensure the efficient flow of patients through the system, so they are treated in the right place at the right time, with a home first approach always adopted.

    The post holder will have day to day operational responsibilities for the running of the ward and the staff, therefore operational experience would be an advantage.

    The Trust actively promotes staff development through a structured support process which will be available to you for both clinical , leadership and managerial supervision, and encouragement to explore other learning opportunities.

    HCPC registration and a degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy are requirements for this role.

    Essential criteria

  • Minimum of four- five years post graduate experience, including work at Band 6 level in relevant clinical specialty.
  • Evidence of a structured personal development plan.
  • Masters level or post graduate qualification in relevant area
  • Desirable criteria

  • Four to six years postgraduate clinical experience with at least two years at a band 6 level within a relevant specialty
  • Advanced knowledge of broad range of conditions within clinical specialist area

    DBS Checks

    Please be aware that all new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. The charges are currently £27.68 for a standard check and £44.68 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for.
