Full time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday
Salary from £18,005.00 – £19,337.00 per annum, dependent upon experience
Here at Serco we’re looking for a Car Park Attendant to join us at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough. Reporting into the Security Supervisor, you will provide assistance to patients, staff and visitors coming and from the car park when required – for example lone females during hours of darkness. You will provide information and assistance to the Trust patients, staff and visitors, including directions to departments, security advice etc.
Administrative duties will include maintaining appropriate records in line with service delivery – including completion of logbooks and relaying car details for un-authorised parking and issue warning notices.
As part of this role, the Car Park Attendant will attend fire alarm calls during working hours at the residences and liaise with Trust personnel, police, fire and other emergency services for car break-ins, petrol leaks, fire alarms etc and report any potential Health & Safety issues.
What you’ll need to do the role
You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar security or car park attendant role and have a passion for helping others. Hospitals are busy places so you will need to ensure you are organised, a strong communicator and empathetic towards people.
