Here at Serco we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Improvement & Development Co-ordinator who will be responsible for supporting Business Improvement Specialists in coaching and leading Operational Excellence, Personal Development and Business Improvement activity across the AASC contract.
This is a critical role with responsibility for supporting the business to achieve Operational Excellence maturity and to implement positive change throughout the organisation along with responsibility for monitoring training required to keep AASC contract compliant and designing and delivering contractual training to achieve this.
You will daily monitor and manage the Learning and Development Mailbox, processing requests as required to a high standard and maintain reporting of contractual learning and development achievement for on contract staff and subcontractors.
You will have the attention to detail, the approachability, initiative and the people skills required to encourage and drive personnel development and assist with monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the progress of staff undergoing development. You’ll support learners with their individual learning objectives and design and deliver learning solutions that meet individual learner needs and support the end-to-end learning and development cycle to include learning needs analysis and evaluation.
You will also daily monitor and manage the Complaints and Feedback Mailbox, processing complaints as required and ensuring adherence to response standards.
What you need to do the job
If you are looking to develop your skills into a Business Improvement Specialist, this is the role for you! You will have the ability to work in a small highly motivated team in a collaborative way. You will share research, information, skills and insight with colleagues where you will act as a positive influence across the business, bringing specialist expertise to the overall strategy. You will need to be able to design blended learning to include digital media, classroom based and e-learning content, making use of all available learning technologies.
You will have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as you will be liaising, maintaining, and developing respectful relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across the AASC contracts, and within wider Serco.
You will also need a full UK Driving Licence as travel is required between contracts where you will facilitate a holistic learning approach, to include in-house solutions such as job-shadowing, coaching and mentoring, action learning, e-learning, 1-2-1’s, classroom based training and internal workshops.
CRB Clearance and/or Security Clearance at Baseline level (Serco Civil Government is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and all offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office)
