We are looking for a Business Development Consultant to join our Business Development & Customer Support Sales team.
You will have previous experience of working in a business-to-business environment with a strong background in outbound prospecting. The ideal candidate will be an organised self-starter, with demonstrated success in managing campaigns as you will be responsible for developing quality prospects and generating appointments for our Regional Managers. You must be resilient and able to demonstrate strong influencing and networking skills. You must also have a passion for growing your existing customers portfolio through building trusted relationships and have experience in account management.
In order to do this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following specific skills and experience:
Experience of making outbound prospecting calls to businesses to develop quality appointments.
Experience working in an account management role where you have managed your own portfolio of customer accounts.
A proven track record of achieving financial sales, customer retention and engagement call targets.
Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build good relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
Able to demonstrate real drive, energy, and enthusiasm
A mature approach to intelligent consultative selling and upselling, managing your pipeline accurately helping to secure new business and ensuring we continue to develop existing accounts.
Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 8 (e.g. HND or higher) and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role. Experience of using MS Teams and remote working in a business development environment would be advantageous.
