An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated Maintenance Team, helping to maintain all of our buildings and facilities – including schools, residential homes and even a farm – across the North-east.

While we value experience, it is not essential for candidates to have previously worked in maintenance or have any formal trade qualifications, as full training will be provided. All we ask is that you are hard-working, willing to learn and committed to helping us maintain high standards across all sites.


As a Building Maintenance Operative, you will:

  • Be an effective team player with a positive attitude.
  • Have a passion for learning new skills and be willing to take on unfamiliar tasks.
  • Have some knowledge/experience of general building tasks, whether that’s painting, plastering, carpentry or gardening.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults.
  • Possess strong communication skills and be able to work with, and alongside, people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Have a full, clean UK driver’s licence.
