About the role
This position is within the Assessment Associate (AA) Recruitment team which forms part of the Associate Management department at Pearson. The department are responsible for the contracting, training and recruitment of Assessment Associates. Assessment Associates perform many different roles across many different subjects and qualifications, some examples are below:
The Recruitment Advisor will be responsible for ensuring that sufficient Pearson Assessment Associates are recruited to fulfil forecasted demands for General Qualifications (GQ) and Vocational Qualifications (VQ) (including GCSE, GCE, BTEC, NVQ and Apprenticeship). In addition working with Pearson departments to implement new processes and attract applicants for new projects.
To organise and manage recruitment campaigns in key subject areas through recruitment events, online and printed press, liaison with groups or organisations, networking and social media.
To organise and manage recruitment campaigns for all senior positions; either when vacancies arise, new qualifications are introduced or due to the redevelopment of qualifications.
Be aware of new recruitment drives in the business
Liaise with internal departments and key stakeholders on recruitment requirements/issues. Advising them on the best way to proceed and building successful working relationships.
Being innovative in your approach to recruitment of Pearson Associates i.e. continuously researching new and cost-effective ways of recruitment.
Develop and implement new recruitment incentives according to the funding available.
Provide advice to potential applicants on Assessment Associate roles.
Work with the Associate Recruitment Processing Coordinator to anticipate demand for additional Associates in key subject areas
Working with colleagues in the team to ensure your knowledge of Gateway is sufficient to guide new applicants and to set up new roles when necessary.
Monitor the number of applications received for priority subjects.
Contribute to the Pearson Associate recruitment and retention strategy.
To ensure positive customer service is provided consistently, resolving escalations & complaints promptly in accordance with Customer Service SLAs.
Provide regular MI and on an ad hoc basis as requested.

Previous Work Experience
Experience in customer-facing role and dealing with complex issues and responding within agreed timescale. (Essential)
Experience of working in constantly changing environment and ability to multi-task. (Essential).
Previous experience in a recruitment or Human Resources related role (Desirable).
Intermediate MS Word and MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint (Essential)

Standard 37.5 hours a week, office hours, Monday – Friday but will be required to be flexible during busy periods including the possibility of working at weekends occasionally. Overtime may be paid or offered as time off in lieu.
