National Services Division (NSD) plans, commissions and performance manages high quality services, programmes and networks for the NHS in Scotland. It facilitates service change across NHS Scotland to ensure consistent, equitable provision of high quality, safe, effective, person centred services to meet the needs of the population of Scotland.
These is an interesting, dynamic and challenging posts, supporting NSD Programme Manager/s to commission services and facilitating service change across NHS Scotland.
The successful candidate for the permanent post will be supporting the running the risk sharing scheme for Inherited Bleeding Disorders and associated workstreams. They will also take on duties and projects to support the planning of other specialist services commissioned by NSD.
Post holders will be using appropriate project management methodology, service planning, quality improvement and change management skills to ensure that high quality and effective services are provided throughout NHS Scotland. The Assistant Programme Manager is a key member of the team and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting projects and programmes. The post holder is required to work with a degree of autonomy. Advice and guidance will be provided by the line manager and Programme Manager/s within the team.
Applicants should be educated to degree level and should have a proven track record of project management and supporting NHS management at an administrative or operational level. The post requires excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
The post is currently based in Edinburgh at Gyle Square, although post holders will be working mainly from home until further notice. A Glasgow base or a permanent part-time homeworking arrangement can be explored.
