Do you enjoy data analysis? Have you got experience using asset data systems such as Hansen? If so, we have a great opportunity to join our team as an Asset Data Technician!

The role

As the Asset Data Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining above ground asset data. You will also undertake the editing and processing of data into Corporate Records through a variety of systems and processes. Working collaboratively with the Asset Data Manager you will undertake a range of data updates and document publishing tasks.

As part of the team, you will undertake the role of Takeover for above ground asset data. You will use Hansen and bespoke database tools like Microsoft SQL Query tools to edit and process asset data.

You will review the QA asset data, especially the integration of above ground data into and/or with the corporate GIS. You will also work within the Asset Data Information Group Ops on internal QA processes to acquire and improve the content and quality of asset records.

What do I need?

We are looking for an organised, self-motivated individual who is able to work and prioritise tasks independently and effectively. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident communicating ideas and knowledge across all levels of the business.

In addition, you should have/be:

  • Educated to degree level or possess relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the water supply and wastewater treatment, as well as processing sites (preferred)
  • Experience using:

  • Hansen (or similar asset system)
  • Microsoft MS Access and Excel
  • Microsoft SQL Server query tools
