ANPR Driver | London Borough of Ealing

Serco have an exciting opportunity for ANPR Drivers (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) to join our Parking Services team on the London Borough of Ealing Contract.
The working hours are Monday to Sunday 8am-7pm, including Bank Holidays on a 5 on, 2 off rota basis. You MUST be flexible to work shifts across all required days and evenings, and be flexible to carry out foot patrols in the event ANPR vehicle is unavailable due to defects.
First and foremost, you will be the face of Serco’s parking enforcement team in the community. As the ANPR Driver, you are responsible for ensuring enforcement of all on/off street permitted parking regulations in all controlled zones/beats, in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004. You will provide vital front-line customer service to the local community and take great pride in your work.
A typical day will see you carry out vehicle, equipment checks and test the functionality of the ANPR monitoring, recording and other associated equipment and to report any faults to the CEO Supervisors. You will drive around in your pre-determined route using ANPR functionality which will detect non-compliant vehicles, allowing you to stop and issue a Penalty Charge Notice and authorise for removal where relevant”.
You will also offer guidance and advice in parking matters to the general public and report any damages or faults with Pay & Display machines, any defects in street furniture, including signs, road marking and any suspect vehicles within the borough, as well as any other duties required by management.

As front-line customer service representatives, you will be confident in dealing with members of the public and have the ability to deal with conflicting situations remain calm and act professionally and courteously at all times and in all situations. You should be approachable, friendly and always promote positive public relations.
It is also desirable that you have parking experience.
It is essential that you hold a driving licence as driving a vehicle is a main part of this role.
