This Agile Project Manager role requires you to provide exceptional project management experience and Agile knowledge to manage the delivery and implementation of defined projects, effectively planning and managing delivery to ensure a high level of performance and quality, delivering work streams that provide exceptional business value.

Duties of a Agile Project Manager:

  • Lead the technical delivery of both technology and business lead initiatives, blending traditional delivery principles and practices with an Agile development and delivery approach to provide the right balance of agility and predictability.
  • Define business requirement scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organise and lead status and working meetings; own reporting and governance compliance; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plan and own delivery planning and budget management.
  • Manage the performance and output of the delivery teams; holding teams accountable for their commitments; helping resolve roadblocks.
  • Manage and influence 3rd party suppliers and vendors; ensure collaboration and build strong relationships whilst driving adherence to CICD and Agile delivery processes and principles.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of related programmes and other initiatives to identify potential dependencies, synergies, overlap or duplication and to address these at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure all aspects of effective technical delivery, such as quality standards (e.g. testing approach) are considered and defined at an early stage of the Delivery lifecycle.
  • Skills and experience:

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional Delivery methodology.
  • Experience of hands-on delivery in highly technical digital/cloud environment is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge across traditional on-prem environments as well as digital and cloud.
  • Must have a proven track record of delivery within an Agile framework including large complex work streams in a high-tech development environment.
  • Experience of management of 3rd party software suppliers, including offshore resourcing.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional Delivery methodology.
  • Experience of hands-on delivery in highly technical digital / cloud environment is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge across traditional on-prem environments as well as digital and cloud.
  • Must have a proven track record of delivery within an Agile framework including large complex work streams in a high-tech development environment.
  • Experience of management of 3rd party software suppliers, including offshore resourcing.
  • Proven skills in effectively managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Presentation skills and articulate in written and oral communication with the ability to adapt the information and present it in a digestible format dependent upon the audience.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work on own initiative with a methodical, meticulous, organised approach to work.
  • Initiative to ensure technical and management skills/specialisation are kept up to date in line with industry standards.
