Summary of the role

We recruiting for an experienced Administrator to provide high level support within EXCEED, the Exeter Centre of Excellence for Diabetes Research. This is made up of a number of research groups each led by CMH faculty members who form part of the Universities world-leading diabetes research, who’s advances span from discovering biological causes and mechanisms, to improving diagnosis and treatment worldwide, to prevention and supporting people to live healthier lifestyles. Working closely with the Research Project Manager, the Administrator will act as the main point of contact for the Diabetes teams, providing PA support to Professorial staff, including diary management, student teaching workload support and updating of research outputs and applications. They will be expected at all times to maintain confidentiality in line with University Procedures. 

The post-holder will have previous administrative experience and excellent IT skills, with previous experience using databases and records systems. The ability to work independently, proactively, prioritise workloads and to tight deadlines is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and in person is also important.
