Academic Subject Leader in Postgraduate Studies

1.0 FTE, 37 hours per week 

Based at Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester

We are looking for a passionate Academic Subject Leader in Postgraduate Studies to the development of a new subject community focused on postgraduate, post qualify health and social care education.

The Academic Subject Leader for Postgraduate Studies willwork alongside the Head of School, Strategic Lead for Research, Experts byExperience, Collaborative Partners, and Stakeholders to lead and develop postqualifying and post graduate education and research that delivers excellence inpractice in collaboration with our practice partners.

The Academic SubjectLeader is responsible for leading and creating a vibrant subject community forstaff and learners, informed by best evidence-based practice, coproduced withpartners and service users. They should be able to deliver clear plans forenhancing learning, lead teaching staff and educational practice developmentthat is embedded in a strong research culture.

You will need a strong Healthcare background and evidence of supporting postgraduate education.

An enthusiasm to embrace change, work as part of the innovative Health and Social Care team and ability to contribute to the growing research profile of the subject area is essential.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growing portfolio of programmes, moving the School forward with its strategic plan to deliver a sustainable workforce for Gloucestershire in collaboration with our partners.

You will work closely with the head of School and Academic Subject Leaders for other subject communities, Strategic Lead for Partnerships and Placements and our collaborative partners to deliver the vision for allied health education in Gloucestershire and beyond.
