Are you a Civil Engineer or Project Manager with experience in Environmental Construction or Flood Management? 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Management Officer to join our Flood Programme Team to support the Cumbria Coastal Protection Authorities. This is a very important time to join the team as we start to work on a 5-year programme which may lead to substantial coastal defence work in our region.

As a Development Management Officer you will deliver technical advice in response to planning enquiries and planning applications within Cumbria to ensure provision of an effective and appropriate standard of service reflecting the relevant policies technical principles guidance and regulations/legislations. You will review Travel Plans and coordinate consultations and undertake activities associated with negotiating contributions and improvements.

As Lead Local Floor Authority (LLFA) the team prepare flood defence proposals for flooded communities to ensure provision of an effective and appropriate standard of service reflecting the relevant policies technical principles guidance with regard drainage.

If you are a Civil Engineer Project Manager or have relevant experience we would love to hear from you! 

We also would consider applicants that are part way through a qualification or with relevant experience the opportunity to gain the necessary qualification.
