Deskside Support Engineer

Your Role

We are looking for a Deskside Support engineer to join the Workplace Services team and deliver the best deskside support for our customer. Your role will involve supporting the Lowell campus in Leeds. You will be joining a team of engineers to deliver Incident and IMAC services to approximately users, based in the Lowell HQ building. As such, you will need to be a fast learner; able to receive technical instructions and respond in a confident manner to ensure any downtime is kept to a minimum. You will help manage the call queue, keeping tickets updated with latest actions and closing within SLA. This can then feed into creation of Knowledge Articles to identify first time fix opportunities and further service improvements.

Your experience

Good communication – ability to present yourself confidently with all levels of customer. Good diagnostic approach – methodical and considered Experience of fault-finding on both laptop and desktops Knowledge of Win10 build basics and installation/ uninstall of software Basic network skills – sufficient to troubleshoot connectivity issues. Time management- working to deadlines and able to prioritize tasks ServiceNow knowledge or experiance with similar ticket handling applications Quality control and attention to detail
