Main duties of the job

Working as part of a specialist team across multiple sites (including community clinics and domiciliary visits) you will use your expertise and clinical skills to provide individualised holistic care for this specific group of patients, from assessment, planning, treatment through to evaluation. You will also support and provide education for allied professionals and assist in the implementation of local and national clinical quality programmes.

As this is a new service applicants will have the opportunity to initiate and develop the service, expand upon their knowledge and previous experience with rewarding outcomes.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council
  • Post registration experience working either within the clinical speciality or relevant senior nursing role
  • Holds or is actively working towards a relevant Post-graduate Degree/Degree modules, or Degree to be completed within an agreed timeframe.
  • Demonstrate nursing skills comparable to senior nurse working at this level
  • Demonstrate skills in nursing leadership
  • Desirable criteria

  • Obtained or working towards relevant Clinical Masters
  • Demonstrates ability to develop nursing standards and quality initiatives
  • Demonstrate involvement in research that has changed nursing practice
  • Module/qualification in speciality area or relevant unaccredited training attended within last 2 years
  • Nurse prescriber or willing to work towards

    Essential criteria

  • Experience and credibility with the health care team as a professional resource in speciality/practice area
  • Networking effectively in area of specialty/ practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate evidence based nursing advice to a Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Post registration experience working either within the defined scope of clinical speciality or relevant experience of leg ulcer & complex wound care

  • Ability to Speak Welsh
