Main duties of the job

To provide an efficient reception and administration service to the ED department whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to actively ensure that an effective service is provided and patient satisfaction is maximised. Also to promptly and efficiently exercise own judgement to resolve patient queries within own professional constraints.

By the nature of the duties the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with staff, patients, carers and relatives with courtesy and discretion at all times. 

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role.

  • English and Mathematics to GCSE or equivalent experience

  • NVQ level 3 Customer Care or equivalent qualification or experience OR AMSPAR Intermediate Diploma in Medical Reception

  • Previous clerical/office/reception experience.
