Family Support Practitioner

Salary: £21,100 per annum

Location: Based in Kings Lynn West Norfolk. Occasional travel to Breckland District part of the wider locality may be required.

Contract/Hours: Permanent Full Time, 37 hours a week. 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 4.00pm Friday.

A bit about the role

Norfolk’s Early Childhood and Family Service provide targeted support to families with children aged 0-5 years. The service offers a range of early childhood services for parents, prospective parents and young children to support in areas including bonding, speech and language development, parenting challenges, mental well-being and healthy relationships.

We have bases in King’s Lynn and Downham Market with the role covering the whole of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk.

How you’ll help to create brighter futures

You will be part of a supportive and dedicated team with opportunities for development. You will make a difference by:

  • Providing direct family support at home, within one of our ECFS bases or via video calls.
  • Organising and running one to one and group-based parenting programmes using evidence-based approaches (e.g. Solihull, Circle of Security, Freedom).
  • Attending and participating at relevant multi-agency meetings and providing a lead role when required.
  • Using a strengths-based approach to working with families.
  • Taking an outcome focused approach for children and families.
