Vulnerable children in the UK need your help
Wherever you work in the Action for Children family, you’ll be helping to change the lives of the most vulnerable children in the UK.
Last year, we helped more than 670,000 children and families across the UK. From direct work in communities to national campaigning, we are focused on making sure every child has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.
Why Action for Children?
Working here is more than a job. Everyone in the Action for Children family is passionate about protecting and supporting children. It’s the sense of purpose that drives us every single day. Because we know that, when we work together, we can make a huge difference to bring lasting improvements to vulnerable children’s lives.
A bit about the role
As part of a city-wide strategy, the service will promote the wellbeing of children and young people aged 0-12 years to support them to thrive with their families within their local communities by offering the right support at the right time.
The main focus of our work is supporting parents/carers to manage the behaviour of children through a variety of accredited parenting programmes. Work is also carried out to help improve the confidence and self-esteem of children and their parents/carers at home, school or in the community.
How you’ll help to create brighter futures
Our shared vision is to support children and young people to live with their parents and siblings, or where this is in the best interest of children, with their extended family, enabling them to grow up in their community with their friends, and attend their local school. We’ll rely on you to make sure our services run as smoothly as possible and will need you to help do this by:
