Main duties of the job


Supporting all ED Consultants, Nursing and Administration staff to achieve timely care for our Emergency Department patients.

Liaising with other departments in the hospital to follow up patient referrals.

Supporting the Nurse in Charge directly with patient journey’s and ensuring all patients are receiving timely care and to reduce any delays which my occur.

Please arrange a visit with Rebecca Marchbank or Lisa Edwards to fully understand the requirements of the roll.

Essential criteria

  • Educated in English and Maths to GCSE or equivalent experience
  • NVQ Customer Care L3 or equivalent experience. IT related qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience

  • Able to keep pace with a fast moving and highly demanding environment.
  • Previous experience of working on a busy ward.

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology

  • Able to use MS Windows, Word, Excel.
  • Accurate VDU and keyboard skills.

  • Previous experience of communicating confidential information.
