Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist with the promotion and encouragement of appropriate, individualised levels of patient participation and facilitate patient activities that promote social interaction, enhance self-esteem and help to maintain or enhance functional ability.

Applicants for this vacancy need to have evidence of patient participation and the ability to care with warmth and understanding. The role will be supporting and assisting the nursing staff to ensure that the patients receive the best possible outcome and experience during their hospital stay.

The successful post holder will be required to assist with the support of the Ward Sisters, Ward Manager and nursing team through ensuring high standards of care as outlined in the Welsh Government Fundamentals of Care.

This post is fixed term for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
