User Research Lead/Senior User Researcher – 6 months, /day inside IR35

Location: Work can be carried out remotely. Offices are based in London and work can be carried out on site/hybrid/fully remote as preferred.

Our client provides essential services to the UK Government and they are currently in need of a Lead User Researcher who can support and mentor junior colleagues whilst also delivering high-quality research and analysis on complex, strategic projects within a large-scale digital transformation programme.

As the Lead User Researcher, you will operate in the strategic and planning space, helping to define and scope user research input to the programme and advocate for the benefits of an evidence-led and user-centred approach.

Our client is looking for a personable, Senior UR practitioner who can work autonomously within a Digital transformation programme where there is a lot of ambiguity, Leading and upskilling other URs within the team. Although projects wont be going through GDS assessments, this sort of experience would be desirable. They are ideally looking for someone with some experience of Services/Service Design too.

Key Skills Experience:

The ability to help the organisation adopt a wide range of UR methods, analysis and synthesis techniques to allow for continued assurance, improvement and innovation.

An understanding and experience of a range of user-centred practices, with the ability to collaborate with others to deliver credible research outcomes, including helping colleagues to adopt and embed these practices.

Experience of advocating and performing inclusive research and helping teams understand the diversity of audiences and users of digital services, helping teams design and deliver accessible services that work for all users.

Ability to take a strategic approach to UR activities within the context of a digital service or organisational transformation project.

The capability to build strong and trusted relationships with a diverse range of professionals, ensuring that UR adds value and is adopted across wider teams.
