Main duties of the job

The post holder will ensure that the team follows the service principles and strategy for people with a learning disability while delivering safe, effective and high quality specialist service in line with agreed standards. The post holder will have excellent communication skills and will be a visible and accessible manager to whom staff, patients and their families can access for assistance, advice and support. The post holder will monitor the interaction between staff and service users ensuring that they are treated with dignity, kindness and compassion at all times.

You will be accountable for the performance management in the team relating to KPIs and outcome measures ensuring that fundamentals of care are in place and audits are completed where relevant. The post holder will be expected to communicate and receive highly complex and sensitive information and able to analyse and interpret information and act appropriately where there may be barriers to acceptance. You will review and respond to Datix and safeguarding, work force issues, and performance which will be reported to the service manager. The post holder will have a good understanding of the CHC process and also be part of the development of pathways and Maturity Matrix.
