Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated therapy assistant, who can provide high quality interventions with guidance from therapy staff. This will include individual and group work, and working both on the stroke wardand in community settings.

Supervision and support will be available in this role to enable the successful candidate to develop their skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • QCF level 3 related to health & social care
  • Knowledge and Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Relevant experience working within health, social care or teaching settings which provides transferable knowledge and skills
  • Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience as Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Other

    Essential criteria

  • Physically fit and able to manually handle loads including physio-therapeutic handling throughout most of the day
  • Ability to move between departments and sites in a timely manner

  • Welsh speaking

  • Good verbal and written skills
