Main duties of the job

The post-holder will report directly to the Director of Safeguarding & Public Protection. Additionally the post-holder, will actively engage and contribute to the exploitation work to include County Lines, Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking, Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) and Counter Terrorism work across BCUHB wide. The post-holder will need to have a strong understanding of clinical, operational and safeguarding risks associated with safeguarding adults the broader safeguarding agenda, and the associated legislative requirements.

The post holder must be NMC Registered, hold the essential qualifications, and have relevant safeguarding experience as listed in the personal specification.

The base of the post-holder will be agreed following interview, however activity across the Health Board and collaboration within the wider team and partner agencies, is required with the expectation of extensive travel.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful post holder will be able to work independently and as part of the wider Corporate Safeguarding Team utilising their experience of a multi-agency approach to the safeguarding adults agenda. As an experienced leader and well-organised professional, you will work well under pressure and to tight timescales. You will have excellent communication skills to engage with a wide variety of internal managers, staff and external partner agencies.
