Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will work within the Integrated Autism Service, supporting the delivery of diagnostic assessments and post diagnostic support for individuals with Autism and their families/carers.

The post holder needs to be confident and competent to work autonomously as a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist working as part of an integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Management/Leadership skills and knowledge
  • Evidence of experience of the specialist area of practice including provision of specialist assessment and intervention
  • Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of specialist interest in area of work, e.g. member of specialist section
  • Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Significant postgraduate experience with demonstrable experience in related clinical field which equips the post holder to be competent to carry a specialist caseload in this area
  • Experience of contributing to service development and implementing service changes
  • Supervisory experience
  • Desirable criteria

  • Experience in the development and use of outcome measures
  • Aptitude

    Essential criteria

  • Experience of presenting to groups of staff/meetings
  • Commitment to contribute to service development tasks, e.g. audit or service evaluation

  • Ability to speak Welsh
