Come and kick start your finance career in this fantastic opportunity in ICAEW’s very own finance department.
Working in our accounts receivable team you will support the collection and allocation of Institute subscriptions, fees and other income. This will involve maintaining our ledgers and taking responsibility for some of our cash clearing accounts, while also providing customer support arising from queries from our other departments.
As well as learning on the job, you will be undertaking a great apprenticeship run by Milton Keynes College where, alongside this you will have the opportunity to study the AAT qualification. We have a successful history of growing some amazing people through apprenticeships and you could be our next team member! Once in the department you will be able to fully complete AAT and then move onto professional qualifications as you progress.
We don’t expect you to have any finance experience, but we want a strong desire to build a finance and accounting career. You will be MS office literate and enjoy working out logic problems. You will be keen to understand the context of a process and ask “what’s really happening there?”. You will be good at prioritising a workload which can get busy and have a cool head when there is some pressure. It’s a great collaborative team to work in so you must be comfortable adding to the group dynamic. GCSEs at grade 4 in Maths and English or the desire to retake them as part of the apprenticeship are essential.
