Now is an exciting time to join the Adult Community Rehabilitation Team. We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled, experienced Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Speech and Language Therapist to work as the lead for screening within the team. The postholder will also support the development of a Single Point of Access in ACRT and with Integrated Independence Team (IIT) colleagues to support improved access to community therapy service to City and Hackney Neighbourhoods.
The Adult Community Rehabilitation Team (ACRT) is a forward-thinking service that provides an interdisciplinary rehabilitation service to adult clients. The team is split into two specialist branches, physical conditions and neurological conditions consisting of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language therapy, Clinical Psychology, Dietetics and Rehabilitation Assistants. The team is supported by a Consultant Allied Health Professional, Consultant Neuropsychologist and a Consultant Neurologist. Therapy intervention is goal directed and flexible. The service is essentially community based, and clients can be treated in our on-site facilities.

Main duties of the job
You must have expertise working with clients in a community setting. You will lead, manage and co-ordinate the screening team which involves close working with other community therapy colleagues and referrers. You will have support from an administrator, other ACRT colleagues, the Head and Deputy Heads of Service to ensure the smooth running of ACRT. The role involves reviewing and streamlining the screening service within ACRT to prepare and assist with the future development of a single point of access across community therapies.
