  • To support the safe and effective administration of medicines by carers and other healthcare staff in a wide range of domiciliary care settings.
  • To assess clinical practice, and deliver training and development interventions to improve practice and workplace culture for quality and safety in all areas of responsible.
  • Provide specialised advice in relation to care. Assesses, plan, implement and evaluates clinical care of patients.

    Develop and maintain high effective communication networks with key stakeholders to support and ensure development of professional behaviours and a range of knowledge and skills for all staff.

    Develop, facilitate, deliver and evaluate, along with other practice development leads and HEI providers, education and training for nurses and health care assistants linked to area needs and relevant standards.

    Promote patient safety and reduce clinical risk through the development of educational programs, assessment of clinical skills and clinical competencies.

    Support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate health care service, in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate BCUHB’s purpose and value

    Essential criteria

  • -Current registration with the NMC as a registered nurse or midwife. -Mentorship course -Diploma level specialist training / equivalent experience / short courses
  • Desirable criteria

  • Teaching / training qualification – Bachelor degree in nursing or midwifery
  • Experience

  • -Significant clinical experience involving significant use of Medications -Delivery of training. -Attendance at training courses (clinical and/or medicines managements).
