About the role

You will report directly to the Head of Operations and will be part of the Senior Management Team.

You will demonstrate performance targets as well as working in partnership to ensure we are meeting the overall turnaround targets set by the business.

You will collaborate with other departments to ensure we maximise opportunities to ensure the performance of the DLO and contractors is meeting the required performance KPI`s.

You will ensure we optimise resource allocation with the scheduling team and managers, along with meeting the needs of the empty home process to support our stakeholders and customers.

You will assist the Senior Management team in reviewing and eliminate outsourcing of work that is on an ad hoc basis, and ensuring we are maximising the internal operative`s performance.

You will be in charge of identifying training gaps within your own team and sharing data with the Senior Management team along with helping and implementing training plans.

Your day-to-day activities will include managing a team of Schedulers and Supervisors along with contractors, plus working closely with the Integrated Supply Chain across the wider business to ensure success of the empty homes process.

Your role will be to ensure our sourcing of contractors delivers effective performance across or operational empty homes services.

About you

You will have relevant building, maintenance, compliance, or facilities management qualification e.g., HNC in Building or qualified by experience.

You will have significant, proven experience within Housing Associations and have significant, proven void management experience.

You will be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of health and safety in Housing and construction.

You must have a degree level qualification or similar level of educational ability, such as BTEC, HND/HNC, supported by 5 + years relevant experience in a similar role, verbal reasoning, and numerical skills to the equivalent ability level.

You must have experience of leading and managing office-based staff.

You will be able to perform risk assessments to understand risk level, significance, and scope.
