About the role

We are now recruiting for a Head of Financial Planning, Risk and Analysis on a full time permanent basis to champion the delivery of the Board`s strategic direction and objectives by realising these in the financial plan.

Within the role, you will lead on financial planning and forecasting for the group to support the approved objectives in the business plan. You will also provide analysis to the group on proposed changes to the group and provides a horizon scanning function from a financial risk perspective, analysing the impact of potential risks on the deliverability of the groups corporate plan.

You will be required to drive organisational strategy, working closely with the change and PMO function, through development of the strategic business plan and ensuring this informs the financial plan, including overall management of timeframes and business requirements, setting targets, and monitoring of key performance indicators.

You will lead the approach to the annual financial planning cycle and works closely with colleagues in developing the associated review of the treasury strategy to deliver the plan and deliver timely finance modelling to inform horizon scanning, new business cases and commercial opportunities.

You will also be responsible for leading on the regulatory submissions for both the quarterly survey and financial forecast return, ensuring transparent and accurate reporting for executive and Board approval.

About you

It is essential that you be a ACMA/ACCA/ACA qualified accountant with significant post qualification relevant experience.

You must have experience of preparing and presenting accurate, concise reports to main boards and committees and sound understanding of the regulatory environment and the financial risks relating to our business.

You will have the ability to take complex data and distil into clear and concise reports for senior management while being committed to process improvement, continually analysing processes, and driving change where required.

You will be well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and able to understand and distil complex financial data to support business decision making.
