About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Ecology Coordinator to join our team to work in Coleshill on HS2.

Role Purpose:

To support the planning, programming and coordinating of activities by the BBV Construction Deputies, Technical Specialists, Senior Ecologists and Graduate Ecologists.

What you’ll be doing

  • To manage the BBV Ecology Inbox and the associated team calendar and Planner. This includes logging the allocation of tasks; logging the progression to close-out of tasks; following up with Sublot construction teams for any required information and the arrangements of site visits; and issuing Ecology calendar invitations on task allocation
  • To produce and be responsible for a BBV Ecology dashboard of performance for Area North and per sublot, including response times to Ecology requests, closing out of tasks, incidents and so on
  • To provide administration support for the BBV Ecology team including with Document control; managing and filing the BBV Ecology share-point folder; managing the BBV Ecology construction processes, forms and templates; and other administration support as required
  • To support delivery of ecological mitigation requirements for construction to the required HS2 Technical Standards and to policy and legal requirements
  • To support the preparation of documents for Construction works; for example with the production of plans and maps, with checking ecological requirements are included in Task Briefing Sheets
  • To co-ordinate consultation meetings with stakeholders, including planning the meetings, issuing agendas and consultation papers, and taking meeting minutes
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Knowledge of construction on major infrastructure schemes
  • Knowledge of delivering ecological mitigation requirements on major infrastructure schemes
