About the role

We are currently seeking a Community Officer to work within our neighbourhoods department in Oxfordshire; this will be working with us full time and on a permanent basis.

You will provide an excellent service to all GreenSquareAccord customers and work with partner agencies to help customers achieve an independent and positive life and to enhance the environment and communities within the schemes and neighbourhoods.

Reporting to the 55+ & ECH Service Manager you will ensure the delivery of high quality holistic services across GreenSquareAccord`s older peoples accommodation. You will be responsible for the overall management of the schemes within GreenSquareAccord 55+ sheltered housing stock and for the provision of a support service at one 55+ leasehold scheme.

You will also deliver health and safety within the communal areas, maintain accurate records and work with the 55+ and ECH Housing Team and colleagues from other departments to deliver a safe and efficient service.

About you

Qualified, capable and willing to gain qualification and/or have equivalent level of skills and experience to CIH/NVQ Level 2 in Housing/Support are essential.

A good standard of general education and the ability to use email, Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems is also required. Report writing, data analysis and a working knowledge of welfare benefits, relevant legislation, and how to access sources of funding and services for people who are struggling financially is also needed.
