Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for Trainee Material Technicians to join our team to work in Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

To assist in the testing of construction materials Aggregates, Soils & Concrete

What you’ll be doing

  • Live the Balfour Beatty Values
  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm
  • Support the delivery of Sustainability activities
  • Maintaining safe methods of work for the materials team in the laboratory
  • Maintaining high standards of work and compliance with UKAS accreditation requirements
  • Comply with the site quality system for materials testing laboratory.
  • Deliver results by deadlines as required by the contract and project teams.
  • Who we’re looking for

    The following qualities/experience are essential: Time keeping, reliability, some flexibility on working hours is offered.

    The following qualities/experience are desirable: Previous experience of working in a UKAS accredited laboratory is desirable but full training will be provided for suitable candidates.

    There will be a key focus on health and safety within the laboratory and working to safe systems of work is mandatory.
