The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. The role is primarily a surgical nursing position within a fast-paced referral hospital, and we see a range of interesting orthopaedics cases including cruciates, fractures, hip reduction/replacement, angular limb deformity, as well as advanced spinal and soft tissue surgeries. You will have the opportunity to provide support to all 4 surgeons within our Specialist-led team, giving you the chance to grow and develop your surgical skills and knowledge. This is a rotating nurse position, so as well as assisting in surgery you will also rotate through wards, imaging, anaesthesia and occasional night cover.

The current rota includes 1 week of nights every 10 weeks, which is compensated with a full week off the week following, then rotating through the aforementioned disciplines. Shift times are 7am-3pm or 12pm-8pm for wards, or 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm and 11am-7pm for surgery and imaging (including CT). Our nursing team provides exceptional care to patients in all areas of the hospital, with a common goal to constantly improve patient safety and recovery. You should be able to communicate a positive image of the hospital and its services, and be friendly, helpful and approachable to all colleagues and clients.

We are offering an industry-leading salary package from £30,000-32,000pa to the successful candidate, as well as a discretionary performance-based bonus and fantastic career development opportunities.
