Actuarial Analyst Job Vacancy in Leeds, England, UK

Actuarial Analyst – working both from home and our Leeds office
Capita are looking for a candidate with previous pensions experience in either a technical or administration role that are looking to make the move into an Actuarial team in our Actuarial Technical Centre (ATC).
What you will do:
Calculations for actuarial valuations or other funding exercisesÂ
Specify scope of work and determine data requirements
Specify data and information required for projects and liaise with suppliers of that informationÂ
Interrogation of data and pension scheme documents
Calculations for pension scheme accounting (FRS,IAS/US GAAP)
Specification of bases for individual and scheme funding calculationsÂ
Programming and running of actuarial valuation systemsÂ
Any other core routine tasks that are allocated to the ATC
Designing and running spreadsheet calculationsÂ
Drafting report, letters, memoranda and presentations
All of the above require data to checked/analysed/manipulated. Extensive use of actuarial valuation software will also form a large part of the role.
Your experience will include:
Pensions experience in a technical or administration role
At least a B at A-level Mathematics
Good communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Able to work as part of a team
