Development Manager (Solar)

Salary – £40, – £55, (plus a competitive bonus structure)
Location – St Helens

The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Development Manager to work with a development and strategic company who develop projects within the Renewable Energy sector including Solar, Battery Storage (STOR), and Peaking Plants etc. We are looking for someone to develop projects within the Solar field across the North west of the UK and surrounding areas.

Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Development Director, as the Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare all planning documentation including environmental permits and planning applications
  • Working solely on Solar projects.
  • Coordinating technical and commercial responses to tenders
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including Distribution Network Operators (DNO), Gas Suppliers, Environmental Agency, Landowners, Regulatory Authorities, Councils, etc.
  • Effectively managing and mitigating any project or operational risks
  • Producing technical studies and reports

    • Skills & Qualifications
    We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Excellent knowledge in town planning, waste management or Environmental permitting
  • Previous experience in the renewable energy sector (Solar is essential)
  • Commercially astute
  • Happy to travel nationwide – driving license is essential
