We are hiring! Contact Associates have an opportunity for a Disabled Student Allowance Assessor!

To undertake technical needs assessments of people with disabilities or SpLD in accordance with appropriate regulations and the quality assurance framework and to produce formal written reports.

Disability related experience would be advantageous; however, training will be provided. By engaging in the Contact Associates’ training programme, the trainee will gain experience and specialist knowledge to enable them to undertake technical needs assessments and produce formal written reports for people with disabilities, mental health conditions and specific learning difficulties in accordance with appropriate regulations and the quality assurance framework.

Contact Associates deliver high-quality assessments, which enable students with disabilities or other health conditions to access the specialist equipment, DSA help and support they need to fulfil their potential at university or college. We achieve this via a nationwide network of assessment centres and highly skilled disability specialists. We’ve made a commitment to recruit and train only the very best assessors.

We are open to experienced Assessors and non experienced Assessors

  • Create formal written needs assessment reports
  • Liaise with external and internal agencies to complete reports and ensure support is relevant
  • Respond to queries in agreed SLA’s
  • Liaise with Higher Education Students to identify appropriate study and support
  • Complete any other duties that may be allocated from time to time
  • What we’re looking for :

    Education:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (desirable)
  • Knowledge of DSAs provision/support (desirable)
  • Skills:

  • Good communication skill is key in this role
  • Self-motivated & be able to work on their own
  • Good literacy and written skill
  • Able to work towards deadlines
  • Good IT skills
  • Proactive
  • Ability to prioritise and organise on workload
