What you’ll be doing As a Developer, you will use your skills and experience to develop new solutions and features on current and future products within the Capita Public Services Digital portfolio. You will be confident working with other developers and be comfortable learning new technologies and systems.

As a Developer you’ll be:

  • Collaborating – working closely with a multi-disciplinary agile squad to define features and solutions
  • Creating – high quality code, features, and solutions
  • Delivering – ensuring successful implementation of product features with high quality code
  • Documenting – ensuring that all product features are clearly documented
  • Supporting – acting as third line support to ensure swift resolution of any defects and live support issues
  • Validating – building unit tests to assure your solutions
  • Who you are

    Essential:

  • Have a background in development and are passionate about producing high quality code
  • Have experience working with the following technologies, tools, and approaches: Knowledge of PHP, Drupal 8/9, and SymfonyKnowledge of HTML5, CSS and JavaScriptKnowledge of SQL and database modelling and designKnowledge of ReactIntegration with REST / SOAP APIsWriting unit test / test tooling to assure your solutions
  • Nice to have’s:

  • Accessibility practises (a11y)
  • Working experience with Design Systems GDS, Material, UI, etc)
  • Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS / Azure)
  • Experience automating the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
