Job Purpose:
To assist in the provision of building maintenance by carrying out repairs, servicing and upgrading of Council properties.

Requirements

You must:

Be a time served trades person

Hold an appropriate city and guilds, scotvec or equivalent certificate

Responsibilities

You are expected to demonstrate knowledge and application of the:

Working to plans, hacking off existing plaster, fixing metal beads, mixing and applying plaster in layers, providing a key on first and possibly second coats, apply skim coat and finish smooth with a trowel.

Taping and apply finish to plasterboard surfaces.

Applying plaster internally and externally with the use of carlite, cement and fibrous plaster. Undertaking external rendering.

Working on domestic, commercial and industrial premises including schools and sheltered housing.
