About the role

Balfour Beatty VINCI is looking for a Foreman to join our Mainline team on Sublot 2a & 2b team on HS2, near Kenilworth .

Role Purpose:

To provide leadership and control of a team comprising Junior Foremen and Gangers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carries out Safety & Environment Tours as required by the Project H & S Plan
  • Contributes to Accident / Incident Investigations. Directs the appropriate action arising (HFACS and Four Page Reports)
  • Appraises improvement options and leads action / instigates as appropriate
  • Keeps up to date with changes in legislation and cascades information to the foremen
  • Ensures that sufficientresources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability
  • Manage sub-contractors and direct workforce.
  • Ensure high standard of quality on the works to meet the specification requirements first time and minimise rework.
  • Assist engineering team with working method and outputs for production of method statements and programme.
  • Accurate and up-to-date allocation sheets are recorded and provided at shift close with delivery tickets and plant returns to the engineering and commercial teams.
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working as a Foreman on civils/infrastructure projects
  • Holds a valid CSCS card
