About the role

We have a critical, yet exciting opportunity for a Tunnel/TBM Shift Manager / Tunnel PIC to join our team and work as part of SubLot1 in Long Itchington Wood, Warwickshire.

Role Purpose:

To lead and control a section of the works, according to the specific discipline of TBM activities. Management of a team of Section Engineers and Shift Engineers within same discipline.

What you’ll be doing

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of whole process of production, checking and submission of Handover Documentation (Green Files or equivalent)
  • Implements systems and processes to support construction of the works in accordance with the specification (e.g. Materials Approval, NCR, Handover Documentation)
  • Liaise with design team to resolve technical issues
  • Production and implementation of Permits to Work, specifically Confined Space Permits and Hot Works Permits
  • Involved in the procurement of subcontractors
  • Assists in the management of sub-contractors
  • Management of all aspects of TBM operations
  • Management and development of a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of Section Engineers, Shift Engineers and operational TBM team
  • Who we’re looking for

    Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in Tunnels and TBM Team Management as part of a major project
  • Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility and supervise others in this regard.
  • Excellent team player and team leader, able to work effectively and independently without supervision.
  • Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card
  • SMSTS qualified
