We are recruiting a Project Support Officer post on a fixed term basis until March 2024, to help oversee our Domestic Abuse arrangements and to organise our response to the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.

The role

We are seeking a highly motivated, organised, creative, flexible, and committed individual to assist with the implementation of Domestic Abuse (DA) Action Plan and DA projects across Warrington. The role provides an opportunity to work in a multiagency setting, supporting the delivery of various new and innovative projects including, campaigns, and creating content for social media platforms. The post holder will work closely with the DA arrangements manager supporting them in the organisation of the local response to DA across Warrington.

The role has three key elements; first to provide, high quality administrative project support for meetings, this will include, organising meetings, taking minutes, updating action plans, and providing support to partner agencies. It will also include collating data and populating reports.

The second aspect of the role involves manging various action plans, and assist in mobilising DA services across Warrington.

The third aspect of the role will require leading on the communication and involve creating newsletters, and content for social media.

The role offers a valuable opportunity in developing knowledge of the DA sector, and developing skills on project management. In addition, it provides experience of working across a broad range of projects and initiatives, and to be part of a new and growing team.

We are looking for somebody who has:

  • Excellent IT and organisational skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and manage Action Plans
  • Confident communicator
  • Experience of taking minutes and recording information accurately.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
